Advantages of Air-Cycle Refrigerating Machines

If required, ARM can provide a consumer not only with cool, but also with heat (hot water). Thus, total energy transformation rate (cooling and heating productivity) reaches record figures. 

ARM Application in coal mines of Donbas and for food-staff low-temperature processing has shown a number of essential advantages over conventional freon and other industrial refrigerating machines, in particular:

• Full environmental friendliness and operation safety.

• Air is a working medium. It considerably decreases requirements to the machine air tightness. Air leak is uncritical for the machine.

• ARM working medium (air) is a free of charge energy source in comparison with expensive freons.

• ARM ensures faster rise of cold by a chiller and so-called “active” cold, i.e. cold air coming out of the unit directly contacts an object to be cooled, but not through the heat exchanging surface, which significantly increases the cooling efficiency.

• ARM has a wide range of cooling productivity.

• Simple design in comparison with other types of conventional refrigerating machines (no evaporators, no condensers, no fans) and easy control, it requires significantly lower costs in operation and maintenance.
